The Reason for the Season - Part 2: Overcoming the Feeling of Hopelessness
Scripture: Luke 1:26–1:38
When the angle comes to Mary and tells her she is going to be the mother of the Messiah, she was overwhelmed. She faced fear, confusion and doubt. Her doubt was not based in unbelief, but in a desire to understand. Doubt that is based in unbelief it is prideful and apathetic, closed-minded and hard-hearted and focused on ourselves. When we desire to understand we are humble and eager to learn, open-minded, soft-hearted and focused on God. We realize that God is with us through all things and that He is the solution to our problems.
