How Are You Spending Your Dash?

The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

The Dash, a poem by Linda Ellis, refers to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning to the end and represents the time we spend on earth. How are you living your legacy? Are you keeping eternity in view? Live your life backwards from the judgment seat of Christ and ask, “What difference will my life make in 10,000 years?”- Benware. Only two things are going to last for eternity: God’s Word and People. What we treasure depends on whether we are living for the here and now or for eternity. Location matters. If you lay up treasure on earth, as Jesus pointed out, it’s vulnerable to corruption or loss. Heaven is the only place where your treasure will be safe. Eternal addresses are hanging in the balance. Let’s “spend our dash”passionately sharing Jesus with the lost! Begin to move your treasure today to what matters in heaven . . . and your heart will follow.
